Frequently Asked Questions

Screen printing versus embroidery, which is best?

Screen printing and embroidery have advantages, and the choice between them largely depends on the design you want to create, the product you’re customizing, and the look and feel you’re aiming for. Here’s a comparison of the two:

Screen Printing:

  • Best for: Designs with several colors, large designs, or intricate details. It’s typically used on t-shirts, sweatshirts, and promotional items.
  • Pros: It’s cost-effective, especially for large quantities, and allows for high-detail and color-rich designs. It also has a smooth finish, keeping the fabric’s original feel.

Embroidery:

  • Best for: Corporate wear, caps, polos, and high-quality gifts. It’s excellent for smaller designs, such as logos and emblems.
  • Pros: It gives a durable, high-end, three-dimensional look that won’t fade or crack over time. It’s perceived as more professional and classy compared to screen printing.

In summary, screen printing might be the best choice to print a large, colorful design on a t-shirt. On the other hand, if you want a small, high-quality logo on a polo shirt or hat, embroidery would be the way to go. Ultimately, the decision depends on your specific needs, budget, and the look you’re aiming for.
